In the last two days, I have come across two videos from the t.v. in which folks fight with each other about Creation and Evolution, on the value of teaching science and Creation, on whether scientists who use the scientific method to find results can be trusted (i.e. Global Warming, Evolution, Stem Cell Research, etc). One participant equals not teaching evolution to our children with child abuse and attempting to intentionally limit their intellectual growth (a point of view I have never considered, though I think not teaching evolution would just be stupid).
This is a debate that will never end. Not believing in Science is not something you can argue with, just like not believing in Religion is something you can't argue with.
The two videos are below, if you're interested. The first is The View. The second is Chris Matthews and Mike Pence (R-Ind.). Pence is particularly intriguing, as he attempts to tread lightly. He argues that the Republican Party is not anti-science (they are), while doing everything not to offend his anti-science voters.
