Not long ago, RTM asked this question: "What is the deal lately with babies and TV shows?" The question arose after reading and interview with one of the very (very) large families that have a lucrative television show depicting their lives with their many (many) children. The interview took place in the wake of the Nadya Suleman octuplet scandal, if you recall. In that previous post, I also asked this question about Ms. Suleman: "Ms. Suleman is the woman who recently had eight children via in vitro fertilization. She already had 6, and she's unemployed...you know the story. How's she going to turn that all around? She'll probably get a TV show."
Well I hate to say I told you so. But I did. Not that it took much creativity to see this coming. Unlike Jon and Kate and the Duggar Family, who apparently just shill out their family for a few years to support their families, it looks like Ms. Suleman will take it the respectable way by partaking in a "documentary series" that will last "until the children are 18 years old." EIGHTEEN. It's not like they are in a tough enough situation, being one of fourteen children of a single mom. Eighteen years of being on television as one of eight twins.
Oh well, at least there is no shortage of food or water in the world.

Prediction: The producers get tired of her shit and cash in at 18 months.
Idea: let's give michele bachmann a reality tv show. She has, like, 18 kids too, right?
At least it would get her out of politics. Maybe.
